Accessibility
Royal Soles wants everyone to be able to use royalsoles.net, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim for this site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the W3C. Meeting WCAG 2.2 AA also covers WCAG 2.1 AA, the version most often referenced in the United States. We treat this as ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox.
What we've done
- Text and background colors checked against WCAG contrast minimums
- A skip link, clear page landmarks and a logical heading order
- Text descriptions on product and page images
- Full keyboard access with a visible focus outline, including the menus
- A layout that reflows on phones and when text is enlarged
How we check it
We test the store with automated accessibility checks and by hand with a keyboard, and recheck whenever the site changes. This page is reviewed at least once a year.
Known limitations
Checkout and payments run on Shopify, and our Instagram page is run by Meta. We don't control their code. If any part of checking out gives you trouble, contact us and we'll help you complete your order another way.
We aren't aware of other barriers right now. If you find one, please tell us.
